More than 130 runners took part in the annual Carrbridge Challenge Forest Run sponsored by RE/MAX Cairngorm. A BIG thank you to everyone who made a donation to Mary’s Meals. Also a BIG thank you to local fitness instructor, Sam Bain for getting everyone into running mood with her energy-boosting aerobic warm up and STV The Hour presenter, Dingo Dave for being such a good sport in presenting the run medals.
Results were: The overall winner of the 5km was 12-year-old Lewis Holmes from Dornoch with Sandy Gregor, Aviemore in second place and Jamie Trinder from Boat of Garten third.
Overall winner of the 3km was 13-year-old Lewis McWilliam, Carrbridge with second place taken by Erik Oldgren from Sweden and Angus Trinder, Boat of Garten third. In the minis race first place was taken by James Slimon from Laggan with Calum Mackintosh Carrbridge second and Finlay Jennings, Carrbridge third.
