Porridge Production

Once harvested, oats are taken from the farmer’s field to be delivered for production.

After being sieved in a rotating drum to remove impurities like seeds, stalks and any sticks and stones, the oats are poured into a rotating drum to remove the husk (shell).

The oats are then heat dried to remove the moisture content before being ground to produce fine oatmeal.

The finished product is ready for a wide range of uses whether it is home baking or, of course, making a perfect bowl of porridge!
