Bramble Porridge with Spiced Autumn Fruit Compote

Porridge
250gm medium course porridge oats
500ml still spring water
300gm brambles
salt & sugar to taste
Autumn Fruit Compote
2 plums
2 apples
2 pears
25gm dates
stock syrup
Method
Bring water to boil and slowly add porridge oats whilst constantly stirring for about 5mins of full power, then lower to a simmer
Puree brambles with salt and sugar and then add to porridge mixture
Peel fruits and chunk into largish pieces. Put in saucepan with stock syrup and reduce till cooked but still holding shape.
Pour into bowl and enjoy.
